Front-Loading Mailboxes

Typically used in smaller buildings where space is limited and a dedicated mailroom is not available, these types of mailboxes are your preferred option. Canada Post delivery agents would unlock and open the front façade of the mailbox unit to deliver to individual tenant compartments. These mailboxes can be constructed to be recessed within a wall for indoor use only, or installed onto a wall or on a pedestal for both indoor or outdoor use.

Rear-Loading Mailboxes

These mailboxes are suited for larger buildings and are mandatory in buildings with more than 100 units. Canada Post delivery agents would access these mailboxes from the rear using a dedicated mailroom, built to Canada Post requirements. Tenants can access their individual compartments at any time without being interrupted by the delivery agents who can now discretely deliver the mail from the back of the mailboxes. These units are always installed recessed and indoors.
